This ritual candle, black as the shadows amongst the twisted roots of a forest floor, is dressed in the herbs, plants and lichens associated with the places that the spirit of the Old Lad dwells; where the brambles and thorns twine together, where the toad walks upon the dark moist soil, where the tawny owl calls and the beasts of the wood wander in moonlight.

You will receive one hand crafted black candle about 8 inches tall, fragranced with sandalwood, and sealed with black wax blended with Horned One Oil. Dressed with lichen and moss from an ancient oak wood where the Wild Hunt rides, black crowberry, bramble leaves, rowan, elder, bryony, hellebore and a small sprinkling of hair from a black goat, collected whilst he pranced about on a summer’s day.
