Hawthorn Leaf is sacred t the fairies and is part of the tree fairy triad of Great Briton: "Oak, Ash, and Thorn," and here all three trees grow together. It is said that one may see fairies.

Rituals or spells to increase the fertility of a person or group can use Hawthorn Leaf as an ingredient, spring weddings have used Hawthorn Leaf as a way to bless the Bride and Groom with children. Placing Hawthorn Leaf in a bedroom is said to decrease the lust within the room.
